Day Of The Dead Gingerbread Woman

It has been almost two years since I made the big Day of the Dead gingerbread man. Here is the link to him... Day Of The Dead Gingerbread Man. Today I made his sister lol. I made this cookie purely for fun and because I was feeling inspired not to mention Day of the Dead  (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is Novemeber 1st and 2nd. Here she is...
The cookie is a pre made gingerbread man from Cost Plus World Market
The icing is all royal icing. Even the roses ;)

GO BO and Gaby Cookies ♥

It seems I have been making cookies few and far between. When I first started cookies I was so gung ho and enjoyed it so much. As time went on I became a little burned out. Right now I make cookies when I have the time, feeling inspired and purely for fun. There are so many fun things to do in life and I do not want to spend it all on cookies ;) BUT....when I do make cookies I truly enjoy the moment. Here are a few cookie projects I have done for the month of October...

Let's talk about GO BO. This was the 3rd Annual GO BO Foundation Bake Sale and it was the biggest one ever. This foundation and the awareness is only growing. Over 400 cookie artist nation wide participated in the bake sale. Over $25,000 was raised. Can you believe it. Makes me so happy to be a part of the GO BO Bake Sale. Here is a photo of my cookies I did for this years event. 12 fuzzy bears and one butterfly went all the way to Wisconsin for the huge bake sale.

I also made some cookies for a girl named Gaby. Gaby is a sweetheart and loves horses.
What more can I say....
Thanks Gaby for being an inspiration...

Rainbows & Gold Shamrocks.

Phew...I cannot believe it has been over three months since my last post. As you can tell I took a break from cookies. Yea I was a little burned out. One month turned into three months. When I felt the urge to decorate cookies I was not motivated to bake and then mix up all the icing. So therefore no cookie decorating for me HA! Well I finally got in the mood and made some. Perfect timing because I made them for St. Patricks Day. Rainbows and gold shamrocks la la!
I was a little intimidated at first. I felt like it has been so much longer than three months since I had a piping bag in my hands. It felt nice I must admit. :)

On to inspiration...this years CookieCon was just this past weekend. I did not go. I went the first year they had it and had a great time. Well this year I decided to pass on it because I had other things going on. I must admit after seeing so many fellow cookiers photos on Facebook from the event I am bummed I didn't go. This years CookieCon looked to me so amazing and fun. I know when I got back from last years event I was so full of inspiration. It is a wonderful event and getting together with so many cookiers whom share the same interest is a wonderful thing. There is always next year because cookies are not going anywhere. They are just getting more popular by the day.
Cheers to cookies!!!
